The Ukrainian government has approved the winning companies for its Grunivska, Okhtyrska and Ichnyanska PSAs. The tender sought companies to enter into Production Sharing Agreements (PSA) with Ukraine, with the winners to be engaged in exploration and potential hydrocarbon production in the country. According to the results, EP Ukraine (90% owned by EP Power Europe and 10% owned by NAFTA a.s.) was successful in two of the PSAs - Grunivska and Okhtyrska.
The winners were selected from evaluation criteria developed by market experts, international advisory companies and energy organizations.
EP Ukraine has begun extensively investing into the first phase of seismic measurement and drilling of exploration wells, actively utilizing local Ukrainian services, materials and expert skills. It welcomes the opportunity to implement its financial and technological potential to dynamically develop Ukraine’s energy sector.
Development of Grunivska field (Sumska and Poltavska region, total area almost 1100 km²) and Okhtyrska field (Sumska, Poltavska and Kharkivska region, total area - 672 km²).
